Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 April 2026
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using TraceStax ("the Service") you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
TraceStax provides background job monitoring and alerting infrastructure. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service in accordance with these Terms and your chosen plan.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features of the Service with reasonable notice. We will not make changes that materially reduce the core monitoring functionality without notifying paid subscribers at least 30 days in advance.
3. Accounts and security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and API keys. You must notify us immediately at security@tracestax.com if you suspect unauthorised access. We are not liable for losses caused by compromised credentials.
4. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
- Transmit personal data of individuals without a lawful basis
- Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our infrastructure
- Send event payloads containing credentials, secrets, or payment card data
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without prior written consent
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
5. Plans, billing, and cancellation
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. All prices are in GBP and exclusive of VAT where applicable. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and no partial refunds are issued.
We may change plan pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers. If you do not accept the new pricing you may cancel before the change takes effect.
Accounts that exceed their plan's monthly event limit will have ingest paused until the next billing cycle or until you upgrade. Alerts will continue to fire for any jobs that were previously reporting.
6. Data and privacy
Our handling of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy and, where applicable, our Data Processing Agreement. You retain ownership of all event data you send to the Service.
7. Uptime and SLA
We target 99.9% monthly uptime for the ingest pipeline and dashboard. Planned maintenance will be communicated via status.tracestax.com. Service credits for missed SLA are available on Pro and Enterprise plans. See your plan details.
8. Intellectual property
TraceStax and all associated trademarks, software, and documentation are the exclusive property of TraceStax Ltd. Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of any TraceStax intellectual property.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, TraceStax excludes all warranties, express or implied. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period shall not exceed the fees you paid to us during that period.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or data loss.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
